SMS Consent & Messaging Terms

These SMS Consent & Messaging Terms describe Floora Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy's text-message program. By providing your mobile phone number and opting in (during booking, at intake, or via our scheduling platform Pelvibiz), you agree to the terms below.

1. Program Overview

  • Program name: Floora PT Appointment Communications
  • Program operator: Floora Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy (Dr. Loretta Barry, DPT)
  • Purpose: Appointment reminders, confirmations, scheduling changes, and other transactional communications related to your care
  • Sender on your behalf: Our scheduling platform, Pelvibiz, sends messages from a number associated with our practice

2. Types of Messages You May Receive

  • Appointment confirmations after booking
  • Appointment reminders prior to a scheduled visit
  • Notifications of cancellations, rescheduling, or schedule changes
  • Replies to text messages you send us
  • Other transactional messages related to your care

We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising text messages without your separate, express written consent.

3. How to Opt In

You can opt in to receive text messages by:

  • Providing your mobile number and consenting at the time of online booking through Pelvibiz
  • Consenting in writing or verbally at intake
  • Replying to a confirmation message with the requested keyword (when applicable)

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving care or services from Floora PT. You may decline to receive texts and still schedule and receive appointments — we will reach you by phone or email instead.

4. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your appointment activity. Most patients receive between 1 and 4 messages per appointment cycle (typically: one confirmation, one or two reminders, and any follow-up rescheduling messages as needed).

5. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates charged by your wireless carrier apply to each message sent or received. Check with your carrier for details about your plan.

6. How to Opt Out

You can opt out of text messages at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any text message you receive from us
  • Calling us at (916) 756-3165
  • Emailing admin@floora-pt.com with a request to disable SMS

After you opt out, you will receive one confirmation message and no further text messages from our practice. We will continue to contact you by phone or email about your appointments unless you also request otherwise.

To opt back in, reply START to a previous message or contact us using the methods above.

8. Supported Carriers and Carrier Disclaimer

This program is supported by major U.S. wireless carriers, including (but not limited to) AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost Mobile, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, Cricket Wireless, and Google Voice.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to your carrier's network and is not guaranteed.

9. Privacy

We treat your mobile number as confidential and use it only for the purposes described in this program. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number with third parties for marketing purposes.

Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are processed by our scheduling provider, Pelvibiz, in connection with your appointments. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.

Important: Standard SMS is not encrypted or HIPAA-secure. Please do not send detailed health information by text. See our HIPAA & Communication Disclaimer for safer ways to communicate clinical information.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through our website and, where appropriate, by text or email. The "Last Updated" date above will always reflect the current version.
