Stories From the Moms We've Worked With
These are a selection of reviews from patients across our service area. Every story is real — leaking stopped, pain resolved, confidence restored.
"I am so grateful to have found Dr. Barry. I cannot express how much she has helped me with bladder issues, lower back, hip, leg pain, that I had been struggling with for many years. Before seeing her, even something as simple as getting up from a chair caused significant pain. I also experienced bladder leakage when laughing, coughing, or sneezing. After just my first session with Dr. Barry, I felt immediate relief. She conducted a thorough evaluation and provided simple, manageable exercises to practice at home throughout the week. The improvement was remarkable. While I wasn’t completely pain-free after one visit, the reduction in pain was significant enough that I could easily stand up from seated position without discomfort. Even more surprising, I did not experience a single episode of bladder leakage that entire week something that had previously been a near-daily occurrence. I was honestly amazed by how quickly I noticed results. I expected progress to take much longer, given how long I had been dealing with these issues. Dr. Barry has given me hope that living without pain is possible, and I am incredibly thankful for her expertise, compassion, and guidance. I highly encourage any woman struggling with similar concerns to schedule an appointment with Dr. Barry or attend one of her workshops. There is hope! You will be glad you did. Thank you, Dr. Barry - I truly appreciate you and am looking forward to my upcoming sessions & continuing this healing journey with your support."
"Excellent care from an action-oriented, empathetic practitioner! I saw Dr. Barry for birth prep in my third trimester. On my initial consultation, Dr. Barry started with listening to my specific concerns, then observed my movement and conducted a full pelvic floor examination while practicing PF release exercises. She gave me a list of 4-5 activities I could perform at home as I prepare for labor/delivery. It was the most helpful initial visit I've EVER had with a medical professional. Super grateful for Dr. Barry's time and care!"
"I would love to leave my heartfelt recommendation for Loretta. In every consultation, the experience has always been so much more than I expected. I always leave feeling welcomed, safe, and much more confident. She has such a special way of caring that truly makes you feel good. I have always felt extremely comfortable in every moment. I’m so grateful for her patience, kindness, and for all the attention she gives during such a unique and special time in my life. I am truly grateful — from the bottom of my heart."
"Floora was so great in helping me learn more about my body, pelvic floor, spine and diastasis recti. I was able to use this knowledge to be gentle and mindful in the way I exercise and move. All the core workouts I was doing before were not actually helping fix my diastasis because I was doing them wrong (I wasn't engaging my core)! I am grateful for Floora's knowledge and compassion, and the time she took to personally help tailor a plan for me, and her desire to truly help me."
"I worked with Dr. Barry in the first round of her Postpartum Solution group coaching program and she's truly created something MAGICAL. The three parts of her program (Restore, Retrain, Reclaim) fit together seamlessly, starting with tiny changes and each week building on the last. I have minimal experience working out even prior to having kids and have haven't known what to do or how to safely move my body (especially after having two babies). Dr. Barry's program REALLY covers the basics of working out so well while ALSO teaching how to move safely for your core and pelvic floor – not just while working out but in every day life: picking up toys, carrying babies, unloading groceries. I haven't gained so much awareness of my body and feel confident to move!"
"Wonderful PT and excellent results. I went from having a hard time walking to being able to cart around my two kids while being pregnant and doing it with confidence. Thank you so much!"
"Floora got me back to the gym! I was suffering with a weak core after surgery and doing Instagram and YouTube videos weren't giving me results. Floora was recommended to me by a friend for their Postpartum Solution Coaching Program. I met with them virtually and went through their assessment and I was impressed with how my core was targeted personally for my care. I saw results in 2 weeks and by 12 weeks, my connection to my core felt strong, I am back to lifting weights, my workouts rock and I am confident in my body — and my clothes fit amazing!"
"Dr Loretta is a wealth of knowledge. But what made the appointment with her a really positive one isn't just what she shares but also who she is. The way she approached the session in a very gentle and supportive way, not just as pelvic floor specialist, but as another mama and woman, taking the time to ensure that I felt comfortable, understood and supported, is what I appreciated the most. Really glad to have met her and I'm excited to finally learn how to support my pelvic health with her on my side."
"Let me start by saying, I'm older, and had been having issues with leaking and incontinence since my last baby...18 years ago! I made all the excuses, no time, it'll get better in time, etc. After an embarrassing incident while playing volleyball, I said enough is enough. Loretta is kind, caring, understanding, accessible, affordable and listens; she heard ME. I'm happy to report that I am back to playing volleyball and better than before, as I now have more core strength and no longer am I focused on, "is the pad gonna save me from leaking?" If this resonates with you at all, just do it, give it a try, you're worth it!"
"Loretta is the best! She made me feel comfortable right away and was so easy to work with. She’s supportive, knowledgeable, very sweet and really listens. She customizes everything to exactly what you need at that moment. Having her come to my home was a huge blessing for this season of life and made everything so much easier. I noticed real relief after just a few sessions, which I was pleasantly surprised by! I didn’t think I would feel relief so quickly, and it gave me hope that I will feel better after multiple surgeries. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for pelvic floor physical therapy."
"Loretta is simply magic! I booked with her to address two issues, tearing and leaking post Partum. And within two visits my leaking issue was fixed and my pelvic floor has thanked me everyday! She is so thoughtful and easy to work with, gentle with her words and through on the exercises you have to do! 1000/10 I would highly recommend any mama who has experienced leaking or discomfort or just wants a better experience their next go around to get in contact with her ASAP!"
"I had an amazing experience with Dr. Loretta Barry. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel completely safe, comfortable, and heard. She is incredibly thorough and took the time to explain how my body is functioning in a way that actually made sense. She’s knowledgeable, kind, and supportive, and I left feeling empowered instead of overwhelmed. I truly can’t recommend her enough."
"I developed severe tailbone pain during pregnancy and sitting was impossible. After researching pelvic floor therapy, I found Loretta. She comes to your house and is incredibly sweet, down to earth, and knowledgeable. After about six sessions I already feel a huge difference and even my family noticed I stopped complaining about pain. I highly recommend Loretta to all moms."
"Dr. Loretta Barry is incredibly knowledgeable, communicative, and personable. She takes the time to explain everything clearly and makes sure you feel supported every step of the way. Her encouragement and customized exercises have made a huge difference in my recovery and strength. I especially appreciate that she offers in-home care — it makes scheduling much easier for busy moms."
"Dr. Loretta Barry is an incredible physical therapist. She celebrates every small win and tailors each session to what my body needs. I was newly postpartum and felt like nothing would ever feel the same again. Now I feel so much stronger and confident in my body again."
"I came to her feeling scared and hopeless after being told surgery was my only option. After working with her, everything changed. She guided me through pelvic floor therapy with care and knowledge and I experienced life-changing results."
"I was struggling with postpartum bladder incontinence and felt like no one in the medical field was listening. Dr. Loretta Barry helped me overcome bladder leakage and gave me my freedom back. I cannot recommend her enough."
"Dr. Barry is an exceptional practitioner. She created a space where I felt seen, heard, and respected in a way I had never experienced before. She didn't just treat symptoms — she empowered me with knowledge and helped me reconnect with my inner strength."
"Dr. Loretta Barry is fantastic! Very knowledgeable and kind. She is very personable, making the appointment very comfortable. She’s very honest and from our discovery call thought I only needed one or two sessions together. Her exercises and techniques are helping me strengthen my pelvic floor and abs postpartum. Highly recommend!"
"Loretta helped me discover that my pelvic floor issues were due to an overly tight pelvic floor that had affected my life for years. Now my pelvic floor is the strongest it's been in over a decade."
"Dr. Loretta Barry examined me during my third trimester and gave great advice to prepare for labor. She made the entire experience comfortable."
"She helped me find the right exercises when I had been struggling to figure it out on my own. She was amazing!"
"I never thought I would escape wearing pads every day. Loretta gave me hope and practical exercises to rebuild my pelvic floor strength."
"Loretta helped me strengthen my pelvic floor so I don't pee when I jump or run!"
"I started working with Loretta for pelvic floor therapy and honestly was not sure what to expect. What I can tell you is that even doing the program less consistently than I should have, I could genuinely feel myself getting stronger and having more control within the first month. That alone tells you how effective the program is. What sets her apart is how she shows up for you. She is patient, she is genuine, and you can tell she actually cares about your progress — not just getting through a session. Every week she sends videos and a workout so you always know exactly what to do, and you can keep coming back to those materials long after your sessions end. I now feel confident enough to return to the gym, which was a goal I had been putting off for a long time. If you are on the fence about this — do not be. She is the real deal."
"Loretta is not only highly knowledgeable but very considerate. I have seen much improvement on my issues since she started working with me. I highly recommend her to anyone with concerns or problems caused by a weak pelvic floor."
"I started working with Loretta when I was around 28 weeks pregnant with my second baby. I saw her every 2 weeks or so until the baby arrived, and then a few times postpartum. With this pregnancy, I did all the things — regular massage, acupuncture, chiropractic care, prenatal yoga — and I think pelvic floor PT with Loretta was the best investment I made. Loretta is gentle and thoughtful in her approach, and I appreciated how she took the time to explain things, provide helpful analogies, and demonstrate breathing and movement exercises. (As a bonus, she came to my house for our appointments and my dogs loved her, too.) In my experience, much of the prenatal “prep work” that you encounter is very one-size-fits-all. Loretta helped me to understand my own body and its strengths and weaknesses, and then tailored a program specific to me. Whereas the general advice to prepare for birth seems to be “do more kegels,” that wasn’t the case for me — instead I needed to focus on breathing and relaxing. I ended up delivering my baby without any tearing (or pain meds!) after a relatively short labor, and I doubt it would have been as redeeming an experience had I not worked with Loretta (the birth of my first was a nightmare and involved an episiotomy). Plus, I’ve taken away a greater understanding of my own body that continues to help me recover and get stronger PP. Loretta is the best, and I HIGHLY recommend her! Thank you, Loretta!"
"Dr. Loretta Barry is so knowledgeable! She genuinely cares and listens. She is very gentle and patient with exams, making you feel secure and comfortable. You can tell she is passionate and dedicated about pelvic floor therapy."
"Loretta easily pinpointed what I needed to do to rebuild my strength. She gave thorough guidance and created a beneficial plan to help me reach my goals. She is extremely knowledgeable."
"Loretta has been amazing for my healing journey. She gave me tools for my pelvic floor and back and made every session comfortable."
"During my postpartum journey I finally felt seen and heard. Loretta treated me with empathy and tailored everything to my needs."
"From the first visit I felt heard and supported. My treatment plan was personalized and I started seeing improvements within a few sessions."
"After multiple surgeries I struggled to feel like myself again. Loretta helped me recover and regain strength."
"I found Loretta during my 4th pregnancy when I was looking for help with pelvic floor function as well as birth preparation. It was amazing to have Loretta come to my house and provide a personalized plan based on my current function and goals. Her knowledge and feedback helped me really clue into my body and make changes that resulted in improved function almost immediately. Loretta even provided cues to use during my workouts to ensure I was properly engaging and safely lifting during pregnancy. Later in my pregnancy we met to work on specific labor and delivery breathing and I was able to use these cues during contractions and pushing which made a huge difference. I was able to have my 4th homebirth and felt confident in my ability to work with my body through breathing and relaxation techniques Loretta taught me. I would highly recommend Loretta to anyone looking to improve their pelvic floor function. Her personal experience and knowledge make her an excellent resource and her gentle, encouraging demeanor makes her so enjoyable to work with."
"The best kept secret in town! I would encourage all women 40+ to make an appointment with Loretta and learn how to train the pelvic floor muscles... what a game changer! If jumping, running, or any plyometric exercise triggers leakage, take my advice and skip the PCP visit, you won't regret it."
"This review is long overdue, but I can’t recommend Loretta enough!!! After delivering a 10lb baby, I was dealing with a lot of postpartum heaviness and very worried I might have prolapse. I felt disconnected from my body, scared for future births and everyday life, and unsure of what my new normal would be. Working with her completely changed that. She helped me truly understand and connect with my pelvic floor in a way I hadn’t before. Through breath work and exercises, I was able to actually relax my pelvic floor when it was stuck in a tense but weak state almost all the time. She helped me gain awareness and confidence in my body - I can now connect with my pelvic floor with barely any effort whereas it used to take all my concentration. The heaviness I was feeling improved so much after even one session, but with the continued work the heaviness has stayed away (I’m almost 11months postpartum now)! If you’re having any pelvic floor pain or problems (at any point not just pregnancy or postpartum), she is absolutely worth the investment. She is knowledgeable, supportive, and made me feel comfortable every step of the way."
"Thank you, Loretta, for giving this nana of 6 very active grandboys a new lease on life! After a recent, quite debilitating back injury, Loretta was instrumental in navigating my recovery. The customized exercises and breathing techniques she prescribed to strengthen my core and address the intense sciatica and back pain helped restore my confidence that I could recover and heal. Each exercise was thoughtfully tailored to my specific needs and goals. Goals accomplished… I’m once again able to keep up with baseball, football, swimming, and soccer schedules, as well as my own activities… morning walks, hiking, biking, exercising, and paddle boarding. Loretta, you’re simply the best!"
"Being almost 30 weeks pregnant, I walked into Loretta's office carrying a mix of emotions — anxiety, excitement, and all the feelings that come with preparing for birth. From the moment our session began, I felt completely at ease. Loretta's calm presence, knowledge, and support helped me relax and feel truly heard. I left feeling informed, empowered, and with a renewed sense of confidence in my body and the birth process. She also gave me a wonderful list of exercises and tools to help prepare for birth. I highly recommend her to any expecting mama looking for guidance, support, and reassurance on their pregnancy journey."
"If only I had found her sooner! After struggling through most of pregnancy with pelvic pain, a friend recommended Loretta and within a few short sessions she had provided observations and exercises that brought relief! Continued care has helped me stay active with my toddler without discomfort and feel more confident going into labor!"
"Loretta was patient and took time to really listen to my concerns. She provided tools for me to use at home to help relieve my pain. I appreciated her explanations to help me better understand what is going on in my body. It is so refreshing to find a provider with these qualities!"
"My evaluation with Dr. Loretta was enlightening, thorough, and truly made my pelvic floor concerns seem less confusing. Dr. Loretta began with a full body evaluation covering postural and functional imbalances and is looking at the body as a whole, making connections that I feel would ultimately treat issues in a longer, sustainable way. I really appreciated this approach and found it very unique and highly valued, in my experience with pelvic floor therapists. Dr. Loretta was really great at explaining what was going on, provided gentle cues, and made the whole experience very comfortable. I am so grateful for her insight and direction and feel so much more aware and confident in my body after my visit with her. Absolutely recommend to anyone with pelvic floor concerns, with any range of severity."
"Excellent experience — I learned several new things and feel they will really help me. Thank you!"
"Loretta is amazing. I had no idea how much physical therapy would help me, and my clients. I was seriously considering surgery after having COVID with both my pregnancies. All that coughing on a huge pregnant belly caused pretty severe and long term urinary incontinence. But within a few weeks of doing Loretta’s sessions and exercises consistently I started to see change! I’m now 5 months postpartum and almost back to normal after being in depends for the first 8 weeks after giving birth. Not only have we really improved my pelvic floor strength, but Loretta has helped me address other long term issues with my spine strength that have helped improve my posture and effectiveness in all my workouts!! This has been HUGE. I couldn’t be more grateful. I’m also a Licensed Midwife and I’ve been referring my own clients to Loretta as well with great success! She is helping relieve so many issues that are typically ignored in maternity care; back pain, wrist pain/numbness, pubic symphasis pain and more!! Can’t recommend her enough. Do the consultation, you won’t regret it."
"Even years after childbirth, I experienced pelvic heaviness and some leakage that made daily activities stressful. I found Loretta through a friend and I'm so glad I did! She is extremely knowledgeable and kind, explaining everything clearly and making me feel confident in the process. The exercises and hands-on treatments truly worked. I'm now back to my regular physical activities and feeling strong again. Highly recommend for any woman navigating long-term postpartum healing!"
"This review comes after 3 months of working with Dr. Barry. I have had 12 sessions so far, one each week. At this point I feel I can definitely share an in-depth look at what it is like working with Floora PT. By way of background… I have always been athletic and before I became pregnant with my daughter completed marathon and ultra marathon running distances. However, a hip injury 9 months before I became pregnant sidelined me from getting much running in before or during my pregnancy. I sought Dr. Barry’s help TWO YEARS postpartum with my second child. You are never too late to start!! I was having my same nagging hip injury (now compounded 4 years and two births later). I also was having trouble leaking when running, a back rotation issue, and my abs didn’t function properly. I could not do even a crunch without coning. As a long time athlete it was frustrating always being sidelined with injuries as I tried to come back to running postpartum. I had sought help from normal PTs and made zero progress. I tried massage, postpartum exercise programs, you name it. Nothing worked. What I appreciate about Floora is that it is in your own home. Previously I went to PTs who used equipment I didn’t have. They gave the same generic exercises I could have looked up on my own. By contrast, Dr. Barry came into my home, and worked with what I have. In the very first visit she fixed my back rotation issue just by looking at how I slept and modifying it. I easily saw two other PTs for this exact same issue and nobody asked me about my sleeping. Also in the first visit she pinpointed that I am holding my breath and clenching my stomach. Again, nothing anyone else brought up. Since my issues are so old and I am several years postpartum, I knew not everything could be fixed in one visit. Floora has a discount if you pay all 12 sessions at once. Let’s be real. It’s a boatload of money (just like for any specialty pelvic floor PT) and a huge financial investment. But let’s also be real. It’s 100% worth it. After 12 visits I am seeing improvement in my hip injury that has sidelined me for the better part of 5 years. The weekly visits have been ABSOLUTELY KEY to keeping me on track. Each visit Dr. Barry can see my progress and she has made adjustments for the upcoming week. I have been diligent about doing my exercises every day. Rain or shine, sick kids or no sick kids. And that also has helped keep things trending the right way. The last thing I’ll say is Dr. Barry is so kind. She doesn’t judge and she really thinks about the best way to solve a problem. She has on numerous occasions had me try an exercise only to decide it was going to be too hard for my current stage. I appreciate that. Other PTs would give me the same exercises they would give to 20 other people. Dr. Barry’s exercises are specific to me, my body, and where I’m at right now. Her candidness about where I am has really earned my trust. I am looking forward to my next grouping of sessions and have 100% confidence that I will get back to or better than where I was before my injury and births. If you are on the fence, you won’t regret choosing Floora PT."
"Loretta is wonderful. She’s knowledgeable and truly passionate about pelvic floor health, and she works with such care and gentleness. I always feel comfortable with her and appreciate how easy she was to talk to and ask questions. I LOVED that I could book an appointment and she came to my house—which is so helpful for mamas like me with young kids. If you’re feeling unsure in your pelvic floor journey, Loretta makes you feel supported and gives you a clear path forward."
"Floora was a perfect fit for support with my pelvic floor. Loretta is responsive and flexible. I was able to do an online class for support and also did an in-person session. Loretta makes you feel so comfortable talking about things that can be embarrassing to talk about. She answered all my questions and gave me a better understanding of how things are connected and work together. Highly recommend Floora!"
"I had such a wonderful experience with Loretta! She was incredibly sweet, patient, and so informative — I learned so much in just one session. She made me feel completely comfortable and cared for. I'd absolutely recommend her and wouldn't hesitate to book with her again!"
"I took Loretta's month-long floor & core class and highly recommend it! It was a great option to learn more about strengthening the pelvic floor and core areas, which is especially helpful postpartum. Each week she gave us exercises that we built on in subsequent weeks. I appreciated her specific feedback and her tailoring it to fit each of our individual needs. She is great! Thank you!"
"Definitely a course worth taking! Loretta is absolutely wonderful! During the course Loretta takes the time to help you understand your body more and helps to address concerns. I now have a much better understanding of my pelvic floor and the benefits of the exercises provided. It was really nice that it never an issue to have our child present for the course. Loretta understands the difficulty of needing to juggle motherhood and self care. You can definitely see her passion and love for what she is teaching and she just wants to help as many women as possible. I specifically didn’t have any concerns postpartum but I still benefited from her course and would recommend it to all postpartum moms, not just those with specific concerns."
"Loretta takes the time to get to know her patients thoroughly! She's patient, knowledgeable and truly cares about helping her patients heal! I could not recommend Loretta enough for helping me with my back/hip pain and strengthening my core postpartum!"
"Dr. Loretta made me feel completely at ease and took the time to explain everything thoroughly. She truly understood the demands of my busy farm life and thoughtfully tailored an action plan that fits my lifestyle. I'm looking forward to continuing my care with her and feeling my best with her support."
"Loretta is passionate about women's health and our postpartum recovery. She is so insightful and knowledgeable, as well as very sweet and kind! I appreciated all that I learned from her and can take with me moving forward!"
"I took part in the virtual floor and core class hosted by Loretta. The class was excellent — very professional and personal. I appreciated her thorough explanations and taking the time to answer my questions throughout. We never felt rushed and could truly sense the care and passion Loretta has for helping postpartum mothers. In just 4 weeks I noticed an improvement in my knowledge and self-awareness, boosting my confidence that I can find relief."
"This is my husband’s account so it shows his name and photo, however, I wanted to leave this review because I absolutely loved working with Loretta and was so thankful to have her recommended to me! I really appreciate the detailed work that she provided, especially her flexibility towards me as a mom of two littles! I absolutely and highly recommend getting care from Floora PT :)"
"Loretta taught me things about pelvic floor therapy that I never knew about or thought would be a part of it. I'm happy I have a solid foundation to continue building core and pelvic floor strength for everyday activities. Loretta is very patient and thorough in her teaching and very positive! Thank you, Loretta!"
"This is the best doctor ever! She sets you up with a personalized plan and explains everything so smoothly. I was so nervous to start pelvic floor but she helped this process be so easy!! I'm excited to continue my treatment and definitely recommend."
"During my first appointment, Loretta took time to thoroughly assess my condition. She really listened to my concerns and put together an easy-to-understand plan to relieve my shoulder pain. The exercises and stretches have made a significant difference in my recovery."
"Dr. Loretta is amazing! She really listens to you and comes up with the best solutions. She helped me with just one session."
